Algonquin test of line

From: Robert K McCarthy
Councillor Ward One

On Monday the 28th or Tuesday the 29th, Algonquin’s contractor will be running a caliper tool through the Collins Cove portion of the pipeline to ensure that it is able to be inspected once it is on line.  The caliper tool will be pressurized by compressed air at the National Grid site.  The air pressure will be released at the Footprint power site.   THERE IS NO NATURAL GAS in the Line.

The release of the air pressure will make a loud hissing sound as it is released.

Residents in the vicinity of the Footprint site will be notified of the potential for noise from this activity.  See Notice attached.

If you have any questions, please call.

Thanks

Terry
