SNOW EMERGENCY END 6AM TUES. 2/10 - PARKING RESTRICTIONS STILL IN EFFECT

The City of Salem Snow Emergency Parking Ban will be lifted at 6:00AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Vehicles must be removed from public and private parking lots particularly at schoolsimmediately following the cancellation of the snow emergency.

The Salem Police Department Temporary Public Safety Parking Restrictions: 
No Parking on odd side of all residential streets remains in effect until further notice.
Pursuant to City ordinance, the Salem Police Department has declared a temporary parking restriction on all residential streets in Salem. Parking is prohibited on the odd side of all such streets.Residents should park their vehicles on the even side of the road, unless there is an existing parking restriction on that side of the street. All regular posted parking restrictions and regulations still apply. This restriction will remain in effect until further notice and is in place in order to maintain public safety and allow ambulances and police and fire vehicles safe access through all City streets.
‘No Parking on Either Side’ of Certain Streets will remain in effect until further notice.
In the interest of public safety and due to the large volume of snowfall, the Salem Police Department has declared certain streets to be "no parking, either side" effective immediately and until further notice.  Click here for a list of these streets.
Residents should seek alternate on-street parking elsewhere on the even side of other roads in your neighborhood, on entrance corridors or at an alternative off-street parking lots such as Universal Steel, Church Street 6pm-7am, Salem Willows lot, Blaney Street wharf lot, and playground lots.  Click here for a full list of alternative parking lots.

Salem Public Schools are cancelled for Tuesday, February 10, 2015.

Also, please remember trash and recycling is on a one-day delay schedule for this week.
