Subject: RE: Notice of water system improvement project this Sunday night
The city is planning to replace two in-operable water
valves on the 16-inch main in fort ave (1 location just north of Webb
street , the other in the intersection of fort,
memorial and derby).
the work will take place this
Sunday night, starting at 8 pm and should be complete by 6 am Monday morning.
Because we expect water service
disruption to the immediate area and the willows neighborhood, we will be
sending out a code-red call below and posting information on the city’s
website, as follows:
“this
code-red call is to inform you that the city is planning a water system
shutdown for this Sunday evening to make improvements to the overall water
system in your area.
the
water system will be shut down from Webb
street to the willows,
starting at 8 pm Sunday, April 12, until 6 am Monday morning.
this
shutdown will allow the city to replace two inoperable valves on fort ave.
at
some time during the night, you may loose water to your home/business, but it
you service should be restored by 6 am on Monday.
if
you experience brown water at any time, please run the water, from the lowest
possible faucet in your home, until the water runs clear.
we
apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you may incur during
this project.
the
city appreciates your patience and forbearance during this important water
improvement project.
if
you have the opportunity, please share this information with your neighbors who
may not have received this call.”
