School Vacation Week continues with family-friendly programming throughout downtown Salem!

Events include living history labs at The House of the Seven Gables, interactive art-making at the Peabody Essex Museum, and crafts and activities with Essex Heritage and the National Park Service

Caroline Emmerton's Gables Tour
Miss Emmerton used proceeds from visitors to The House of the Seven Gables to fund a settlement house that offered educational opportunities for newly arriving immigrant families. Join a professional guide AND Miss Emmerton (on her birthday!) for an interactive tour and learn why she was inspired by Hawthorne's works to preserve the mansion.
