FYI
from the Cable Replacement Project
From: Robert K McCarthy
Councillor
Ward One
Dear Neighbors --
Thanks again for following our
weekly newsletter updates. Here's the latest information from all of our
current work sites and a look ahead to what's next.
We're happy to share that duct
bank installation on Forrester Street is complete. The crew that was working on
Forrester Street has now moved onto Essex Street where they will continue to
install duct bank in order to connect the manholes already in place on Essex
Street.
As you know, on Fort Avenue
another crew is installing duct bank heading in the direction of the manholes
installations on Essex Street. Please note that during construction hours,
parking is not permitted inside the work zone. Also, please be aware that with
duct bank construction, equipment and crews move as work progresses and
underground infrastructure is installed, meaning that parking will likely only
be impacted in a specific area for a matter of days.
As a reminder, manhole installation on Hawthorne Boulevard is scheduled to begin during the second half of next week. During all of the above references construction activities streets will always be available for residential and emergency vehicle traffic, and police details will be on hand to assist.
We appreciate your patience and
look forward to finishing all underground conduit construction for the Salem
Cable Project in the coming months. As always, please feel free to contact us
on our toll-free outreach hotline -- 844-SALEM-CABLE -- or through our
website's Contact Us page.
Sincerely,
The Salem Cable Project
