Dear Neighbors -
Here's what to expect from the
Salem Cable Project this week.
As we've mentioned before,
short-term trench patch replacement on New Derby and Derby Streets began this
morning. Contractors are in the process of milling the temporary trench patch
that runs between Lafayette Street and the Salem Harbor Station along New Derby
Street and Derby Street. We expect to have the permanent tench patch in place
by the end of Thursday. To ensure that this work progresses as quickly as
possible, parking restrictions will be in effect during work hours.
Additionally, later this week,
contractors are scheduled to complete resurfacing work on sections of Herbert
Street, Hodges Street, Palfrey Court, and Union Street. The timeline for this
work is also short—in most cases, work on a given street will be complete in
less than a day.
As always, police details will
be present at our work sites to facilitate vehicle and pedestrian traffic
management. Please use caution in and around these active work areas to
minimize risks to your personal safety and to avoid any interference with
construction.
Thanks again for your patience
and cooperation as we work to complete the final phase of the project as
quickly and as safely as possible. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to
call our toll-free hotline at 844-SALEM-CABLE or to use the "Contact
Us" feature on our website at salemcableproject.com.
Sincerely,
The Salem Cable Project
