From Christian Haselgrove
The next step for the 114 Derby Street (Settlement House) development project is approval of certain zoning variances, and the project is on the agenda at next week's City of Salem Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meeting. The meeting will take place Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 PM at 120 Washington Street and is open to the public. Comments (support or concern) about the project can be addressed to Erin Schaeffer at eschaeffer@Salem.com.
The developers, Larry Frej and Joe Skomurski, will be at our Monday meeting.
For details on the ZBA meeting, see the meeting agenda (PDF) and the relevant section of Salem's Zoning Ordinance. It's my understanding that the requested variances are straightforward and standard for a project of this type, but please stop by Monday if you have questions.
