Matthew E. Thomas developed a
passion for American history as a young adolescent and has
researched, written and published a dozen books and pamphlets on
early New England history. He studied architecture and archaeology at
the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He
founded New England Historical Research Associates in 1978. He served
as past secretary of the Association of New Hampshire Historical
Societies and has been a member of the Organization of American
Historians and the New Hampshire Historical Society. Mr. Thomas
currently serves as president and curator of the Fremont, New
Hampshire Historical Society.
